2020 Chicago Headline Club Peter Lisagor Awards

N17: Best Illustration

A day in which Keith J. Taylor whips off a dozen illustrations inspired by the news? That’s just a Tuesday for Chicago Public Square. Taylor’s an unstoppable political satirist whose more-than-daily contributions to Square earned him the Best Visual Artist award in the Chicago Reader’s 2019 Best of Chicago poll—and made him a finalist for the poll’s Best Comics Illustrator. (At this writing, he is again a finalist in both categories for the Reader’s 2020 poll.) He was also a co-honoree last year in Square’s Lisagor Award for Best Independent Blog.

Submitted for your consideration: Three samples of Keith’s visionary work, published in Square June 10, July 1 and Oct. 16, 2020.

About Keith J. Taylor: He’s the author of four collections of political cartoons: Mostly Trump and Other Disasters, Vols. 1, 2, 3 and 4; and The Book of Streams, a collection of original pen and ink drawings.
